Tritons In Second Place Heading Into Wednesday’s Final Round

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team shot a total team score of 281 in Tuesday's second round and is in second place with a score of 559 heading into Wednesday's final round of stroke play at the NCAA Division II Championships at Boulder Creek Golf Course in Boulder City, Nev.

Leo Baudry led the way for the Tritons shooting a 69 (-3) moving up 11 spots into a tie for eighth on the individual leaderboard with a total score of 139. Dani Solavera and Trigg Lindahl both turned in rounds of 70. Solavera is tied for fifth at 138 (68-70) while Lindahl is tied for 35th at 143 (73-70). Logan Mayo is tied with Baudry at 139 (67-72) after shooting even par in his round. Benjamin Berger subbed into the lineup for round two and shot a 75.

Columbus State's Ian Pienaar is the individual leader after 36 holes with a score of 134 (68-66) and hods a two-shot lead over West Florida's Per Ekelund and University of South Carolina Beaufort's Octavio Laurent. Florida Southern had a total team score of 278 in its round to move into the top spot on the team leaderboard with one stroke lead over UMSL.

The teams with the eight lowest scores at the conclusion of Wednesday's round will advance to the medal/match play portion of the championship starting on Thursday.

The final round of stroke play tees off at 9:30 a.m. (CDT) on Wednesday. The Tritons will be one of the final teams to tee off starting at 3:11 p.m. (CDT).
