NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team will open the 2026-27 season ranked No. 17 in the Bushnell Golfweek Preseason Coaches Poll, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Friday afternoon.

The Tritons are coming off a tied for third place finish at the NCAA Division II Championships last season.

Five of the six individuals who competed at the championships return for 18th-year head coach Troy Halterman including senior Dani Solavera and junior Logan Mayo who were honorable mention All-Americans last year.

Also returning are junior Trigg Lindahl and seniors Benjamin Berger and Ludvig Granlund. Lindahl was a first team All-GLVC and All-Region selection while Granlund was a second team All-GLVC honoree.

Solavera led the team with a scoring average of 72.50 last season while Mayo was at 72.62 and Lindahl had a scoring average of 72.88.

UMSL tees off its season September 14-15 at the Midwest/Central Region Preview at the Meadows Golf Club in Allendale, Mich. The fall portion of the schedule also features four other tournaments, including the Midwest Collegiate in Peru, Ind., hosted by the Tritons, Sept. 28-29.
