Box Score

EVANSVILLE, IND. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team recorded a 2-1 decision over Bellarmine on Tuesday afternoon in a rescheduled Great Lakes Valley Conference contest. The two teams were originally slated to play in St. Louis on September 7 before rain and storms forced the postponement.

Senior Thomas Mihalczo put the Tritons on the board in the 60th minute after he one-timed a cross from freshman Chris Pearson. Senior Luc Wells then made the score 2-0 at the 86:55 mark when he put a rebound into the back of the net after a breakaway shot from junior Tony Auck was saved by the Knights keeper, who couldn't hang on to the ball.

Bellarmine then countered back 30 seconds later for the final score.

The Knights out-shot UMSL, 16-6, including 5-3 in shots on goal. Wells had a team-high two shots for UMSL, placing both on goal.

Senior Patrick Ream played all 90 minutes in goal, recording two saves, both of which came in the final 10 minutes of action.

The Tritons improve to 8-6 overall, including 7-5 in the GLVC. The Tritons will travel to Illinois-Springfield on Friday for their final road game of the regular season. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
