Chris Pearson scored in the 62
nd minute to help the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team to a 1-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference road victory at Southern Indiana on Friday night.
The win moves the Tritons to 4-0-1 overall, including 3-0 in the GLVC for the first time in program history. Southern Indiana dips to 1-3-1 and 0-2-1 in the league.
Pearson broke up the scoreless game when he found the back of the net off of sophomore
Bronson Melvin's cross following a restart after a USI foul.
Both teams recorded three shots on goal with the Screaming Eagles outshooting the Tritons, 11-7. Junior
Connor Carnduff took two shots, landing one on target.
Senior
Nick Lenkman picked up his second straight shutout, recording three saves in between the posts.
