Men's Soccer Visits Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday and Lewis on Sunday

SETTING THE SCENE
UMSL returns to the road this weekend, traveling north to Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday and to Lewis on Sunday.
 
SIZING UP THE TRITONS
UMSL is 3-3 overall, including 2-2 in the GLVC. The Tritons, still looking for their first road win of the year, had a two-game win streak snapped on Sunday with a 2-1 overtime loss. UMSL sits in a six-way tie for sixth place in the GLVC standings. The Tritons have netted eight goals, including two each from junior DJ Bednar and senior Jon Huelsman. Defensively, UMSL has posted three shutouts, tied for the most in the GLVC.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Wisconsin-Parkside is also 3-3 overall, but is 3-1 in the GLVC, with its lone loss coming to No. 20 ranked Quincy. The Rangers are fifth in the league with 1.50 goals per game, but are 11th with 1.67 goals allowed per game. Ryan Shogren has three goals for his team, including two on penalty kicks. Keeper Remi Bibal owns three shutouts and a save percentage of .889.
 
Lewis enters a Friday contest against Maryville with an 0-5-1 overall record, including a 0-3-1 mark in the GLVC. The Flyers have allowed 12 goals, while scoring just two.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
UMSL returns home next weekend, hosting Drury on Friday night and Missouri S&T on Sunday.
