UMSL continues its season-opening three-game roadtrip on Friday, when the Tritons travel to Jefferson City, Mo., to face Lincoln.
SIZING UP THE TRITONS
UMSL is 1-1 after opening the season at the Pops Duncan Classic, hosted by Trevecca Nazarene, last weekend. The Tritons defeated the hosts, 42-31, but lost a 72-66 decision to Kentucky Wesleyan. Junior
Jordan Fletcher led the Tritons with 9.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 75 percent (6-of-8) from the field and 85.7 percent (6-of-7) from the free throw line. Senior
Robneisha Lee also averaged 9.0 points per game, while sophomore
Laura Szorenyi scored 11 points in the loss after not playing in the opener.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Lincoln, opening the year with its third straight GLVC opponent in UMSL, is 0-2, having lost at Rockhurst and at Missouri S&T. The Blue Tigers are led by Hunter Yoakum's 21.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, while Azaria Nave also averages 21.5 points per game, thanks in part to a 27-point outing against Rockhurst. Ayana McWilliams is in her first season at the helm of the program.

UMSL is 30-18 all-time against Lincoln and won the last meeting - a 72-57 decision at home during the 2014-15 season.
TRITON TIDBITS
• Through two games, UMSL leads the GLVC in scoring defense, allowing just 51.5 points per game. The Tritons allowed just 62.0 points per game last year, ranking fourth in the league, and held 11 opponents to fewer than 60 points.
• UMSL is shooting 75 percent (21-of-28) at the free throw line, while its first two opponents combined for 40 attempts, but connected at just a 50 percent clip.
