Bolivar, Mo. – The University of Missouri – St. Louis wrapped up their season this weekend at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at Plaster Stadium on the campus of Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo.
The Tritons women's team finished in 14
th place in their second ever appearance in the championships while the men tied William Jewell for 13
th place. Lewis won the women's team title while Missouri S&T took home the men's championship.
In the first day of the championships,
Haeley Johnson earned 15
th place in the Long Jump with a leap of 4.85 meters to start things off for the Tritons. Johnson just missed qualifying for the final heats in the 100-meter dash with a 17
th place finish in the prelims in a time of 13.08.
On the men's side,
Gavin Love placed 17
th in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:59.52 while
Jacob Warner earned the Tritons their first points of the meet with an eighth-place finish in the 10,000 – meter run in a time of 30:53.74.
In Saturday's action,
Benjamin VandenBrink finished 12
th in the 1,500-meter run with a time 3:57.19 to pace the Tritons while Warner grabbed eight-place in the 5,00-meter run with a time of 15:08.38.
