ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team looks to bounce back as it heads down to Rolla to take on Missouri S&T this Friday at 7:30 p.m. The Tritons wrap up the weekend at No. 24 Maryville on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
Last Time Out – UMSL (2-3-2, 1-3-1 GLVC) dropped back-to-back 1-0 contests against sixth ranked UIndy and Lewis this past weekend.
Austin Reis made 13 saves in goal for the Tritons.
GLVC Standings – As UMSL nears the midway point of the GLVC schedule it finds itself in a four-way tie for eighth place with Upper Iowa, Rockhurst and Missouri S&T at four points apiece. The sixth through 14 spots in the standings are separated by seven points. Indianapolis and Lewis are tied atop the conference standings with 16 points. Illinois Springfield is third with 15 points, Maryville sits in fourth with 13 points and McKendree is fifth with 10 points. The top eight teams in the final standings will advance to the GLVC Tournament which begins Nov. 5. The top four teams will host a first-round contest with the winners moving on to East Peoria, Ill., the following weekend for the final two rounds.
Statistical Rankings – The Tritons are ninth in the league in scoring averaging 2.86 points per game and ninth with an average of 1.143 goals per game.

Luca Saewe are tied for sixth in the conference in game-winning goals with one each. Reis is third in the league with 30 saves, fourth in saves per game with 4.29, sixth in goals against average at 1.00 and tied for sixth with two shutouts.
About Missouri S&T – The Miners enter Friday night's match with a record of 2-6-2, 1-4-1 GLVC and are winless in their last three contests. S&T dropped a 1-0 decision at Rockhurst last Friday and then had to settle for a 2-2 at William Jewell after conceding a late penalty kick for the equalizer.
Mike Banasik leads the team with three goals scored while Shane Cairns and Sigurd Semlitsch have three points apiece. Davis Joseph has started nine of the 10 games in goal and has a goals against average of 1.84 while making 34 saves and has posted three shutouts.
About Maryville – The Saints enter Friday's contest against McKendree with a record of 7-1-2, 4-1-1 GLVC and are coming off a 1-0 win at Rockhurst this past Sunday.
Tim Smith leads the team in scoring with 10 points tallying three goals and four assists while Kelvin Mulinya leads the team with four goals. Mason Crew has scored three goals and added an assist for a total of seven points. Nick Hemann has started all 10 games in goal this season and has a 0.74 goals against average, has made 18 saves and posted two shutouts.
Series History – UMSL leads the all-time series against S&T 21-11-4 and has won three of the last five meetings. Last season, the Miners defeated the Tritons 4-1 in Rolla.
Sunday's contest is the 13th meeting all-time between UMSL and Maryville with the Tritons holding a 6-4-2 edge in the series. The Saints are 4-2-1 in the last seven meetings. The two sides played to a scoreless draw last season at Maryville.
