ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's and women's track and field teams opened the outdoor portion of its schedule at the Central Methodist Invite and WashU Invite on Saturday.
Gavin Love was the Tritons top finisher on the men's side at the CMU Invite finishing third in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:13.55 and fourth in the 800 meters at 1:59.91.
On the women's side,
Dominica Rooks was UMSL's top finisher coming in 14th in the 400 meters with a time of 1:06.19.
Haeley Johnson finished 17th in the long jump with a leap of 4.29 meters (14'1").
At the WashU Distance Carnivalm
Kayley Heeter finished 35th in the 5,000 meters in a time of 20:00.71 while
Lily Wagemann was 43rd at 20:14.76.
In the men's 5,000 meters
Benjamin VandenBrink was eighth with a time of 15:27.02 and
Jacob Warner finished 26th in the 10,000 meters at 30:36.46.
UMSL is back in action this Friday (April 7) at the McKendree Bearcat Classic in Lebanon, Ill.
