KAMUELA, Hawaii – The No. 15 University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team finished third out of 15 teams with a score of 594 (295-299) at the Southwest Airlines HPU Shark Shootout on Saturday at Mauna Lai North Course in Kamuela, Hawaii.
Mayan Covarrubias led the way for the Tritons finishing in a tie for 10th with a 36-hole score of 147 (74-73) while
Wilma Zanderau was tied for 13th at 148 (73-75).
Emmy Wahl had a final score of 149 (73-76) to finish in a tie for 17th,
Juliette Lecomte shot a 151 (76-75) and
Hillary Currier finished with a score of 152 (75-77).
Madison Murr from Cal State San Marcos was the individual medalist with a final score of 138 (67-71) winning by one shot over Sonoma State's Avery Foster. The Cougars were the team champion with a total team score of 579 (283-296).
The Tritons return to the links in February to begin the spring portion of their 2024-25 schedule.
