ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's cross country team finished 14th out of 27 teams with a score of 344 points at the NCAA Midwest Regional at the Lewis Cross Country Course in Romeoville, Ill., on Saturday. It's the team highest finish at the regional meet.
Jacob Warner was the team's top finisher in the 10-kilometer race at 22nd with a time of 31:36.50.
Toby Middleton was the second Triton runner to cross the finish line finishing 33rd at 31:50.99. He was followed by
Benjamin VandenBrink in a time of 32:35.83,
Emmett Johnson crossed the line at 33:10.23 and
Will Kaempfe came in at 33:28.30. Rounding out the top seven for UMSL were
Julio Cruz Jr. with a time of 33:43.29 and
Luke Stevenson at 33:54.43.
Lewis' Evan Horgan was the individual winner with a time of 30:39.46 while Grand Valley State won team championship with a score of 40 points.
