ST. LOUIS – Will Kaempfe won his third event of the season and the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's cross country team won the Hannibal-LaGrange Trojan Invitational with a team score of 23 points on Saturday at the HLG Cross Country Course.
The Tritons claimed the top three spots in the eight-kilometer race with Kaempfe crossing the line at 25:50.70. He was followed by
Luke Stevenson and
Clement Mayo who turned in times of 27:07.30 and 27:27.90 respectively.
Devon Fanning finished eighth overall at 27:51.50,
Aaron Guss was 11th in a time of 28:33.40 and
Armando Montoya came in 17th at 30:12.40.
UMSL's women also competed on Saturday with three of its four runners finishing in the top 15 of the 5K race.
Hannah Richardson and
Bridget Ragan finished seventh and eighth with times of 22:05.0 and 22:12.90 respectively.
Ansley Casey came in 13th at 22:53.10 while
Zoey Losch finished 30th at 28:23.90.
The Tritons are back in action in two weeks as they travel to Romeoville, Ill., for the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship meet at the Lewis Cross Country Course.
