ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team had three players named to the All-Great Lakes Valley Conference team as announced by the league office on Thursday.
Sophomore
Wilma Zanderau, junior
Juliette Lecomte and senior
Victoria Klausner earned the accolades for the Tritons.
Per GLVC Bylaws, each of the top-five finishers at the GLVC Championship automatically earn an All-Conference selection, with the remaining five individuals and major award winners nominated and voted on by the head coaches. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players.
Zanderau finished as the runner-up in the GLVC Championship stroke play event. She leads the team with a scoring average of 75.00 and has recorded three top five finishes and six top 10 finishes this season. Zanderau earned All-GLVC honors and was named the GLVC's Freshman of the Year last season. She finished seventh at the NCAA East Regional and will compete at the NCAA Championships in Orlando, Fla., May 21-23.
Lecomte also earns her second All-GLVC accolade as she was named to the team during her freshman year in 2021-22. She recorded three top 10 finishes this season and had a scoring average of 78.17. Lecomte was named GLVC Women's Golf Player of the Week on March 14 after finishing seventh with a scoring average of 72.7 in the 95-golfer field at the Emerald Coast Collegiate.
Klausner earns her first All-GLVC honor after finishing her season with a scoring average of 78.34 and had a season-low round of 71 in the second round of the DBU Classic last fall. She finished in a tie for 13th at the GLVC Championships last month.
Additionally, fifth-year senior
Ebba Wernered was one of 12 student-athletes named as their team's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honoree for distinguishing themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals are also in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports competition setting. They are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.
UMSL and UIndy finished in a tie for the team sportsmanship award.
The Tritons earned runner-up honors at the GLVC Championship and were selected to the program's 14th straight NCAA Regional.
