ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team finished second out of 16 teams with a total score of 900 (301-302-297) at the Midwest Ladies Collegiate on Tuesday at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Ind.
Freshman
Mayan Covarrubias finished in a tie for fifth with a score of 221 (75-72-74) and was named to the all-tournament team. Junior
Wilma Zanderau came in a shot behind Covarrubias at 222 (73-78-71) and was tied for seventh place. Sophomore
Hillary Currier and senior
Juliette Lecomte were tied for 20th and 23rd with scores of 229 (74-79-76) and 231 (79-76-76) respectively.
Tiffin's Lisa Marie Schumacher won individual medalist honors with a 54-hole score of 212 (69-72-71) and Findlay was the team champion with a final score of 875 (298-283-294).
The Tritons are back in action next Sunday-Tuesday (Sept. 15-17) at the DBU Classic at Robson Ranch Golf Club in Denton, Texas.
