FINDLAY, Ohio – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team is in second place with a 36-hole score of 583 (295-288) after the first day of the University of Findlay's William Beall Fall Classic at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.
Senior
Juliette Lecomte leads the field after two rounds with a score of 142 (73-69) and is a shot in front of Lynn's Amelia Ruiz heading into Tuesday's final round. Junior
Wilma Zanderau is tied for eighth with a score of 146 (69-77) while freshman
Emmy Wahl is tied for 14th at 148 (77-71). Sophomore
Hillary Currier shot a 151 (80-71) and freshman
Mayan Covarrubias turned in rounds of 76 and 77 to finish with a score of 153.
Freshman
Hope Williams, competing as an individual finished with a score of 157 (78-79).
Findlay holds the team lead after 36 holes with a total score of 579 (290-289) and is four shots ahead of UMSL for the team title.
The final round is scheduled to get underway at 8 a.m. (CDT) on Tuesday.
