"This is a tremendous honor for Troy and for our program," said Executive Director of Athletics, Dr. Holly Sheilley. "His leadership, competitive experience, and commitment to the student-athlete experience make him an outstanding representative for both UMSL and Division II golf."

Halterman, now in his 17th season leading the UMSL Tritons men's golf program, has guided the team to consistent success, including three GLVC conference titles, 12 NCAA Regional tournament appearances, six NCAA Championship appearances including their highest finish in fifth place. His appointment reflects not only his professional excellence but also the national respect he has earned within the golf community.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the NCAA and to help shape the championship experience for Division II men's golf student-athletes across the country," Halterman said. "It's a privilege to represent UMSL and the Great Lakes Valley Conference at the national level."
