ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team added a special new signee before its exhibition game against Harris-Stowe this past Saturday evening with
Noah Besonen joining the team through a partnership with TeamIMPACT.
Noah will participate in as many team activities as he is able. TeamIMPACT is a New England based organization that seeks to pair children with life-threatening diseases and injuries with university and college sports teams as a social aspect to their lives.
"Noah is a wonderful young man," UMSL men's head soccer coach
Josh Alderson said. "He has been with us for more than a year now and every time we get to see him, he comes more and more to life. He brings a fantastic energy and helps spread the positivity that we have in our program.
"We have four culture values that our team came up with," Alderson stated. "Those are passion, engagement, respect and grit. These are personified by Noah. He is a wonderful representative of this program, this athletic department and a great representative to his family too. We are so happy to have him with us."
In addition to Alderson welcoming Noah to the Tritons, were members of the men's soccer team, Noah's family and fans.
Following the signing, Noah posed for pictures and led the team onto the field prior to kick off against the Hornets.
