SIZING UP THE TRITONSUMSL is 6-6-2 overall, including 5-5-2 in the GLVC, tied with Wisconsin-Parkside for eighth place in the league standings. The top eight teams earn a spot in the GLVC Tournament. The Tritons are 2-2-1 at home this season, going 0-2-1 since opening with a pair of victories. UMSL has outscored its opponents, 17-13, and are led by senior
Jon Huelsman's seven goals, three of which are game-winners. Defensively, junior
Jack Filla has five shutouts and owns a goals against average of 0.90.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTSBellarmine is 10-5 overall, including 8-4 in the GLVC, where they sit in second place. The Knights are riding a three-game win streak, but are 3-3 in road games this season compared to a 6-1 home record. Beau Laufer owns a team-best six goals, while Zach Pogue has seven shutouts in between the posts, allowing just six goals in 14 starts.
Southern Indiana enters a Friday game at Maryville with a 6-6-2 overall record, including a 4-6-2 mark in GLVC play, and sits in a four-way tie for 10
th place in the GLVC standings – one game behind the Tritons.
