ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's and women's track and field teams opened its 2024-25 schedule with strong performances at the Illinois Wesleyan Titan First Chance meet inside the Shirk Center on Saturday in Bloomington, Ill.
For the women,
Kennedy Moore led the way with a fifth place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 10.71 meters (35'1.75") while
Rebekah Vail finished 14th in the weight throw with a toss of 11.31 meters (37'1.25") and 16th in the shot put with a heave of 9.67 meters (31'8.75").
For the men,
Caleb Cody-Jackson finished second in the 300 meter run with a time of 35.24 seconds and was sixth in the 60 meters at 7.11 seconds.
Rashad Smith finished second in the triple jump with a leap of 13.83 meters (45'4.50") and
Bailey Riley finished ninth in the triple jump with a jump of 12.75 meters (41'1") and
Jared Dunn finished 16th in the triple jump with a mark of 11.14 meters (36'6.75").
The Tritons resume their 2024-25 season on Saturday (Jan. 25) at the Illinois College Snowbird Open starting at 10 a.m. at King Fieldhouse.
