ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis track and field teams combined to record 13 top 15 finishes this weekend at the GVSU Big Meet in Allendale, Mich., and Illinois Wesleyan's Titan Open in Bloomington, Ill.
On the men's side,
Sean Ede and
Sebastian Meyer had the top finish at Illinois Wesleyan finishing third and fourth in the 3,000 meters with times of 9:11.40 and 9:16.82 respectively.
Devon Fanning came in 13th in the race touching the line at 9:58.78.
Gavin Love took seventh in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:00.95.
At Grand Valley,
Jacob Warner and
Benjamin VandenBrink finished third in their respective heats of the 5,000 meters on Friday. VandenBrink had a time of 14:36.51 while Warner finished at 14:51.48.
Warner came back on Saturday to finish sixth in the 3,000 meters in a time of 8:29.71.
Jonny Key and
Caleb Leach finished ninth and 12th in the mile with times of 4:20.82 and 4:21.70 respectively.
For the Triton women,
Dominica Rooks took third in the 400 meters at Illinois Wesleyan in a time of 1:03.90.
Ella Tynan came in 10th in the mile at 6:01.21 and
Megan McMillen and
Peyton Brueck were 13th and 15th in the 3,000 meters with times of 12:12.70 and 12:43.13 respectively.
UMSL will compete in a final tune-up meet before the Great Lakes Valley Conference meet next Friday at the Illinois College Hilltop Classic in Jacksonville, Ill., beginning at 5 p.m.
