ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's and women's track and field teams conclude their season with 16 top 20 finishes at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Lewis Stadium in Romeoville, Ill.
Will Kaempfe had the highest finish of the weekend for the Tritons finishing fourth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:06.22.
Caleb Leach came in sixth in the 1500 at 4:01.55 and
Benjamin VandenBrink was ninth in the 10,000 meters in a time of 31:48.59.
UMSL's 4.x400 relay team of
Willem Hummel,
Sean Keys, Leach and
Gavin Love finished 10th at 3:33.12.
Toby Middleton finished 14th in the 1500 with a time of 4:08.72. Hummel came in 15th in the 800 meters at 1:57.40.
Emmett Johnson finished 16th in the 10,000 in a time of 32:38.08 while
Julio Cruz Jr., was 19th in the 10,000 at 32:54.09. Keys took 19th in the 800 meters with a time of 1:58.99.
On the women's side,
Melissa White finished 12th in the triple jump with a mark of 10.52 meters (34'6.25") and was 19th in the 200 meters at 27.08 seconds.
Rebekah Vail finished 18th in the shot put with a heave of 10.88 meters (35'8.5").
