ST. LOUIS – The No. 22 University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team is in second place with a total team score of 585 (295-290) after the first day of the Midwest Collegiate at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Ind.
Logan Mayo led the way for the Tritons on Monday shooting a 73 in the opening round and followed it up with a 71 in the afternoon session and is in fourth place with an even par score of 144.
Leo Baudry shot the lowest round of the day for UMSL. He shot a 68 in the second round after shooting a 78 in the first round and is tied for ninth at 146.
Trigg Lindahl and
Dani Solavera finished tied for 21st at 147. Lindahl had rounds of 73 and 74 while Solavera had a 71 and a 78.
Andy Hennen shot a 155 (80-75).
The Tritons second team in the event shot a 607 (308-299) and were led by
Benjamin Berger who shot a 145 (71-74) and is tied for eighth overall.
Campbell Cox had consecutive rounds of 75 and is tied for 28th.
Ludvig Granlund shot on a round of 80 in the morning session and followed it up with a 71 in round two and
Nate Warren shot a 161 (82-79).
Tiffin's Mitchell Brassard and Hillsdale's Robert Thompson are tied atop the individual leaderboard with respective scores of 144. Brassard turned in rounds of 69 and 71 while Thompson shot a 71 and a 69. They hold a three-shot lead over Tiffin's Liam Harvey.
The Dragons shot a 578 (290-288) and hold a seven-shot lead over UMSL heading into Tuesday's final round.
Tuesday's final round is scheduled to tee off at 8 a.m. (CDT)
