ST. LOUIS – The No. 22 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team finished second out of 16 teams with a total team score of 883 (295-290-298) on Tuesday afternoon at the Midwest Collegiate at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Ind. UMSL's second team in the event finished 10th overall with a final score of 908 (308-299-301).
Benjamin Berger shot the low round of the day for the Tritons shooting an even par 72 to finish in a tie for seventh overall at 217 (71-74-72).
Logan Mayo finished a shot behind in ninth place with a 218 (73-71-74).
Campbell Cox and
Trigg Lindahl tied for 18th at 222. Cox shot a 72 in his final round to go with rounds of 75 and 75 while Lindahl was one over par with a 73 pairing it with rounds of 73 and 76 on Monday.
Dani Solavera shot 223 (71-78-74) and was tied for 22nd overall.
Leo Baudry and
Ludvig Granlund were tied for 26th on the leaderboard. Baudry had rounds of 78-68-79 while Granlund turned in scores of 80-71-74.
Andy Hennen shot a 232 (80-75-77) and
Nate Warren finished with a score of 244 (82-79-83).
Hillsdale's Robert Thompson was the individual medalist with a total score of 210 (71-69-70) and won by one shot over Tiffin's Mitchell Brassard. The Dragons were the team champions with a total team score of 875 (290-288-297).
UMSL returns to the links next Monday and Tuesday hosting the National Preview at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.
